Extreme Visual Crafting

Several great items have crossed my virtual desk involving high-intensity craftwork that produces great visuals in a variety of contexts. I'll bundle them here for a digest-style overview.

Aerial and Underwater Photography: Make has a great how-to that can help you shoot photos from the sky or digital video underwater. Either of these would be wonderful projects for a science or social studies class.

Pinhole cameras: Make a 35mm or 12omm pinhole camera. [The first is via Make.]

Photoshop Zen: Happy Things has a great tutorial on turning colors found in photographs into extended color strips. Amy, a quilter and photographer, even uses them to print on fabric for quilting. Beautiful!
